Who studies Hebrew with Natasha Shabat?

Read article about adult bat mitzvah in the Boston Globe Magazine , written by my student Linda Wertheimer. Published on July 30, 2006.

Many of my students attend services now and then, perhaps on Shabbat or on other Jewish holidays, and want to understand the Hebrew that is read, sung, and chanted there.

"For the first time in my life, I know where we are in the prayer book and where we're going."

"I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed your classes and how rewarding it is to be able to read the Torah in Hebrew!"

Other students want to keep up with their children or other family members who are also learning Hebrew.

"My mother is so impressed with my ability to read Hebrew. Never too old to be happy if Mom's impressed." (from a 50-something-year-old student)
